High protein paneer omelette

In order to get enough protein into our diet we have been adding extra protein sources to our eggs for a higher protein breakfast. Two large eggs contain 14g of protein but adding 80g of paneer cheese gives you another 14g of protein. This works for us for better glucose control, muscle growth and no sugar cravings or hunger.

 

ingredients

serves 1

 

Small knob of butter/olive oil
2 large eggs
80g paneer cheese, cubed
1 spring onion
pinch of crushed chilli flakes

 

method

prep time: 10 mins

 
  • Melt the butter/ oil in a small saucepan and add the white part of the onion and the paneer cheese and cook for 3-5 mins.

  • While the onion is cooking, whisk the eggs and season with salt and pepper.

  • Add the eggs to the small frying pan and cook gently.

  • When the eggs are cooked add the green part of the spring onion and the crushed chilli flakes.
