apricot & almond smoothie
Smoothies are the easiest, quickest and most versatile way to add goodness to a healthy diet. Packed full of seasonal ingredients they have become part of our daily life.
We aim to incorporate vegetables in them in our attempt to always increase our daily portions of vegetables.
3 ripe apricots, chopped
1 medium carrot, grated
1 tablespoon almond butter
1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
In a nutribullet, or equivalent, add all the ingredients and blend until smooth.
The amount of almond milk will vary depending on your preferred way of enjoying smoothies

Apricots are a good source of both vitamin A (from beta-carotene) and vitamin C. Apricots are rich in other antioxidants, too, including flavonoids. Diets rich in flavonoids and the other types of polyphenols found in apricots have been linked to reductions in heart disease in humans, as well as other potential health benefits.
